If you plan to upgrade your hard disk, and failed to find the Windows XP or Vista CD come with you Lenovo, afraid not. Your Lenovo come with a partition (usually labeled as SERVICEV001). The partition contains the OS and all the applications that was pre-installed when you purchased the laptop (XP). To create the recovery disc, follow the following steps or read here:

1. Go to start menu
2. Thinkvantage
3. Create Rescue & Recovery Media
4. Choose Create a set of Product Recovery discs now

First use the CD, then only you use the DVD. If not you will end up waste a DVD and few CDs at least, just like me. Burning the second DVD now.

Why can’t they just give the f`in media. Like Dell or any other vendor. Do they think that most of us will stick to the tiny 80GB drive. Or do they think that the drive won’t kaput at all. Haizz… waisting time oni.

Oh yeah, you can only do this once, so when you’re done, keep it in a good and safe place. Safe place alone won’t do it, make sure you remember where is the safe place in the not so near future.

Too many tweet. Tweeter down yet again, for a short while though. And the error picture is sweet too.

In most cases, it is not. But as long as people love and can’t live without it, it is OK. Take a look at Twitter. I’ve been active using twitter (http://twitter.com/shutterspeaks)  lately, and I can’t count the error message they are fixing, almost everyday there is a problem, and it’s not the same.

All I’m saying, develop a system people love to use, not a very polished product but nobody using it or don’t want to use or worse, forced to use it.

After few years on widescreen, I’m back on letterbox with smaller resolution (1024×764) compared to my previous Inspiron 700m 1280×800. Nonetheless, this smaller resolution do come with good package, smaller in size and lighter in weight. Now I’m on IBM Lenovo X61. Yay! I’ve been dreaming about getting x61 for quite sometime due to it’s ultra mobility and tough in built despite the ugly looking outlook. But I don’t really care about it actually, people who knows notebook well knows its capability. My only complain so far, lack of internal optical drive and small backspace key. The screen in also not the shiny type, its the old type one.

Will take sometime to xfer all files from my previous notebook to new one. The main headache is my new storage is only 80GB while my old one is 160GB. Now where do I keep the files
